AUSN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

AUSN’S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM provides financial assistance for undergraduate study for AUSN Members and their families (sons, daughters and grandchildren) to help them meet the costs of a college education.

ELIGIBILITY

Scholarships are for undergraduate studies and applies to students who are accepted or enrolled in college or accredited technical institution. Applicants may apply during their senior year of high school and up to their senior year in college. Applicants must remain a full time student (maintaining an average course load of 15 credit hours, with a minimum of 12 credit hours in any semester or quarter throughout the year) at an accredited college or technical institution in the United States while maintaining a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or above. Scholarships are school-year specific therefore must be applied for annually and no more than two will be awarded to any scholarship recipients.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Applicants are selected on one of the following basis: financial need or scholastic achievement.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING

The Scholarship Program is funded based on contributions made by our members and friends. All proceeds goes directly to AUSN Scholarship Fund Recipients. 

SELECTION

The applications submitted will be individually reviewed and rated by the Scholarship Committee after scholarship deadline.  

TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTIONS

Individuals may make direct contributions to the Naval Reserve Fund-Scholarship or designate the Fund as a beneficiary of their estate. The Fund is exempt from federal income tax under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and contributions are deductible for personal income tax purposes. The Fund may be used only for charitable and educational purposes.
